Con molto piacere vi presento la collezione F/W12-13 del designer Sylvio Giardina, nato a Parigi, trasferitosi poi a Roma per i suoi studi da fashion designer e dove tutt'ora lavora e produce. Le immagini che vedete sono inoltre state concepite e prodotte tramite Studio DModa e i seguenti talentuosissimi professionisti.

AUTUNNO-INVERNO 2012-2013

Sylvio Giardina, influenzato dai lavori della fine degli anni ‘60 del designer Gaetano Pesce, reinventa la silhouette giocando con forme e volumi in continua trasformazione che avvolgono la figura.

Rigorosi budelli ridisegnano il corpo, vibrano, su esso si propagano in un patchwork di tessuti che dà vita a una nuova identità del capo. Le classiche forme del corpo sono annullate per ricrearne altre, nuove, ispirate alla natura e lontane dai clichè dettati dai ritmi della moda.

Il jersey si fonde con il polietilene espanso e strutture organiche si compongono come anche l’organza che genera un derma metallico, seguendo un percorso mai lineare. Affascinato dai ritratti di Steve McCurry, si appropria dei colori del sud-est asiatico: nero, tortora, bronzo, viola, avorio, turchese, rosso rame, beige, blu avio e varie sfumature di verde compongono la palette di colori della collezione.

I materiali: Jersey di lana, gabardine, velluto, lana, mohair, organza metallica.

Fashion Circus alla VFNO di Roma

Fashion Circus è il titolo della Performance che la fervida e sempre colorata fantasia di Vanessa Foglia, designer del Brand Abitart, propone per la VOGUE FASHION NIGHT che si terrà a Roma il 13 settembre prossimo.

Il mondo del Circo e quello del Fashion sono entrambi fatti di corpi, forme e colori , e dalla fusione delle due arti scaturisce un immaginario favolistico, nel quale posso fantasticare la “mia moda” , sottolinea Vanessa Foglia, che presenta un particolarissimo Abito Carillon delineato da un’enorme gonna di shantung profilata con una maglina rossa laminata in argento che compone dei piccoli fiocchi e un bustino di fine “ 800 con stringhe e nastri. Al collo un prezioso cammeo e un delizioso ombrellino in pizzo ricamato, completano la “bambola vivente”. Prodotto speciale sarà la T-Shirt “limited edition” che riporta una poesia di Vanessa Foglia: “vorrei scrivere un abito, disegnare una poesia, vorrei cantare un quadro e suonare una scultura”. Palloncini ABITART in color arancio con pois bianchi verranno regalati da un performer all’ingresso della boutique, e poi ancora popcorn, caramelle, piccoli cake e un prosecco millesimato delle Cantine Paladin per tutti gli ospiti.

Full collection 'The Fashion Shower' by ADR for H&M

After 'The Fashion Shower' video went viral yesterday - I even posted explanation of it and a kind of 'defense' - , here the (maybe) full collection, piece by piece. The images are not official, I found them in a thread in discussion forum The Fashion Spot and they're from the website theYnotlife. They look as if they have been taken in a showroom maybe. Anyway...here they are for your scrutiny.

Dopo che il video 'The Fashion Shower'( o Sciaua) e' diventato virale ieri - ho persino postato una spiegazione dello stesso e una sorta di 'difesa' -, ecco (forse) tutta la collezione, pezzo per pezzo. Le immagini non sono ufficiali, le ho trovate su un thread nel forum di discussione The Fashion Spot e sono prese dal sito theYnotlife. Sembrano essere scattate in uno showroom forse. Comunque...eccole sottoposte al vostro scrutinio.

From a stylist point of view I have to say that, except from the sunglasses, there are some pieces that are easily wearable like the necklace and earrings below, the orange and pearls necklace and bracelet and the clutches. The rest of the pieces could work on an extremely simple outfit or if you are dressing up for a laugh. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Come stylist devo dire che, a parte gli occhiali da sole, ci sono dei pezzi facilmente indossabili come quelli nella foto qui sotto, la collana ed il bracciale arancione con perle e le clutch. Il resto della collezione potrebbe funzionare su un outift estremamente semplice oppure se vi state vestendo per farvi una risata. Date un'occhiata e ditemi che ne pensate.

Anna Dello Russo Fashion Shower Explained

Anna Dello Russo music video 'Fashion Shower' launched yesterday. Not in the charts, even if she said more than once that she would like to sing and create a music album. Anyway. The video is a promotional one for her  forthcoming accessories collaboration with H&M that is launching on October 4th. Most of the comments that I read online are negative and bash her style and the video itself.

I agree that it is trashy, over the top and not classy BUT I believe that if you don't know her style and her vision of fashion you obviously don't get the 'Fashion Shower' video.

I've been following (and loving her) for a long time now and I even had the chance to see her personally twice during London fashion week. Both during a Michael Van Der Ham show last year and in Febraury at the V&A I saw that how she appears to be in pictures it's the real Anna...I mean she really believes in what she says about fashion, she really loves fashion and her work. This is not a crash course about her but I'm just trying to point out the good points of the video. 

- The Fashion rules that she declares are quotation of herself. She had been 'dictating' those rules in almost every interview you find online.

- The accessories that she flashes during the video are H&M and in trend with the Baroque trend that is in the shops at the moment.

- She may not be young and a model but she's herself and far from being skinny, she's healthy and fit (she does yoga and swimming).

Baroque Trend Accessories

Thanks to the gorgeous AW12 and Haute Couture Dolce and Gabbana collections, the baroque trend it's going to be all over the shop rails. Plus, as seen on the preview pics, the forthcoming collaboration of Anna Dello Russo with H&M, it's going to be REALLY REALLY baroque. If you don't feel comfortable with wearing embellishments and embroideries from head to toe you, can sport the baroque trend anyway with accessories and give a baroque 'mood' to your outfit. Here two board with my selection.

Grazie alle meravigliose collezioni di Dolce e Gabbana - RTW e AltaModa -, il trend barocco e' ormai in tutti i negozi. Inoltre, guardando le preview, la prossima collaborazione di H&M con Anna Dello Russo, sara' MOLTO ma MOLTO barocca. Se non vi sentite a vostro agio nell'indossare ricami e decori da capo a piedi, potete comunque sfoggiare il trend barocco con degli accessori ad hoc e dare al vostro outfit un 'sapore' barocco. Ecco le mie due proposte.

September: the January of fashion.

The September issue are out, the  AW12 trends are in and people are back from their holiday.

September, September...the january of Fashion ( I'm quoting 'The September Issue) and that's true as tomorrow NeW York Fashion Week kicks in and starts the whole fashion week month.

Personally I'm still waiting for a couple of long planned good news to happen (fingers crossed) so it doesn't feel 'January' yet for me. What about you? Any good news?

I numeri di settembre sono in edicola, i trend AW12 sono nei negozi e siamo tutti tornati dalle vacanze.

Settembre, settembre...il gennaio della moda ( sto citando 'The September Issue') ed e' vero visto che domani la New York fashion Week da il calcio di inzio a tutto il mese delle sfilate.

Personalmente sono ancora in attesa di un paio di nuone notizie, pianificate da tempo (dita incrociate) quindi ancora non mi sento come se fosse 'gennaio'. E voi? Buone notizie?
