Vestivamo alla Marinara, ed ora non piu', aggiungo io. Ho preso in prestito il titolo del romanzo autobiografico del 1975 di Susanna Agnelli poiche' e' stata la prima cosa che mi e' venuta in mente scorrendo le immagini della collezione SS15 Quattromani.
Una collezione che segna una crescita per il brand e i due designer - Massimo Noli e Nicola Frau - dopo aver calcato con successo le passerelle di AltaRoma lo scorso gennaio avendo ricevuto una menzione d'onore nell'edizione 2013 di Who Is On next di Vogue Italia.

We Wore Sailor Suits, and no more now, I add. I borrowed the title of the 1975 autobiographic novel by Susanna Agnelli as it was the first thing that I though of as I was clicking through the pictures of Quattromani SS15 collection.
A collection that marks a growth for the brand and the two designers - Massimo Noli and Nicola Frau - after their successful show at AltaRoma last January having won an honorable mention at the Vogue Italia 2013 edition of Who Is On Next.
Il passaggio dalla fanciullezza all'adolescenza che si concretizza in outfit dal mood e dalle linee sportive a righe bianche e navy, short, felpe con cappuccio e zaino, passando per combinazioni BCBG con camicie abbottonate fino al collo, gonne sopra al ginocchio, blazers e boxy jackets per finire con look sensuali e sofisticati - completi giacca-pantalone, maxi top e abiti in rete forata che lasciano la schiena scoperta.

Dopo la stampa Muridae FW14, il camaleonte, ispirato dall'artista-camaleonte Liu Bollin, rappresenta la capacita' di adeguarsi all'ambiente che piano piano acquisiamo crescendo, oltre a creare motivi geometrici che punteggiano il bianco della collezione.

The signature 'Quattromani irony' is not amiss and in this collection is delivered by a chameleon. Following the Muridae print of the FW14 collection, the chameleon, inspired by the chameleon-artist Liu Bollin, represents the ability of adapting to the surrounding environment that we acquire bit by bit growing up and it creates geometrical patterns that embellish the total white garments of the collection.
Infine menzione d'onore, data da me, per gli accessori: il bauletto in pelle tecnica, la postina in vernice in stampa cocco e lizard e lo zainetto cartella. Io mi chiedo ancora una volta: '' A quando delle borse da uomo Quattromani?''
Vestirsi alla marinara non e' mai stato cosi' easy, chic e divertente come con Quattromani.

A honorable mention, given by me this time, for the accessories: the tecnic leather city bag, the coconut and lizard messanger bag and the schoolbag rucksack. I wonder once again: '' When will we see some Quattromani bags for men?''
To wear sailor suits has never been so easy, chic and fun as with Quattomani.
