Bill Gaytten presented his last collection for Dior -the pre-spring 2013 - in Paris and in July Raf Simons will finally showcase his first one at the Haute Couture show. The pre-fall collection is really similar to the SS12 and not really exciting or fresh: lots of voluminous skirts and more peplum tops/jackets. Gaytten is clearly a great tailor but not a designer, and he did a great job stepping in as an ad-interim head designer. Dior needs someone with creative drive and vision. Let's wait and see what Raf Simons will come up with.
Bill Gaytten ha presentato la sua ultima collezione per Dior - la pre-spring 2013 - a Parigi e a luglio Raf Simons finalmente mostrera' la sua prima collezione durante l'Alta Moda. La collezione pre-fall e' molto simile a quella SS12 e non molto innovativa e fresca: gonne voluminose e ancora top e giacche peplum. Gaytten e' chiaramente un ottimo sarto ma non uno stilista, e ha svolto un lavoro ottimo come designer ad-interim. Dior ha bisogno di qualcuno creativo e con una visione chiara di come sviluppare il brand. Vedremo cosa proporra' Raf Simons tra qualche settimana.
