(Un)fashionable Bank Holiday

Sometimes our eyes needs a break from fashion related things (blogs,outfits,shows,collections, shoots,etc..) and out bodies too need to stay away, at least fro few hours from the computer and need a 'bit 'of exercise. That 'bit' yesterday turned out into a four hour walk up and down the Seven Sisters - from Seaford to Eastbourne (!). As you know I'm not REALLY a sporty person or fit but the view was stunning all the way and I'm really happy that R. had the idea of doing the walk.

Fashion and walking don't really go together as the main focus is to be comfortable and travel light. But as well as wearing a pair of thick walking boots I managed to incorporate into my 'walk' outift my favourite baseball cap - the Mickey Mouse one, from Beyond retro - that I can't really wear on a daily basis, as I want to look 'grown up'.

Retro Red

I don't usually post picture of what I'm wearing but this time I was so happy with my latest shopping finds that I want to share them with you. Brighton is quietly working it's retro magic on me now and after browsing throughly in Beyond Retro, I did find this great visor and the stripey top. The visor was on my wishlist since I saw it on the S/S Marc by Marc Jacobs show and the top? Well...a  nautical/navy stripes are staple summery look :-) The matching of the colour is not intentional but I'm quite pleased with it too :-))

Normalmente non posto foto di cio' che indosso ma questa volta sono talm,ente soddisfatto dei miei ultimi acquisti che volgio condividerli con voi. Brighton mi ha finalmente colpito con il suo incantesimo retro e dopo aver spulciato laboriosamente da Beyond Retro, ho trovato questa visiera fichissima e una maglia a righe. La visiera era nella mia wish list da quando l'ho vista sulla passerella S/S di Marc by Mar Jacobs ed il top? Beh...le righe nautiche/marinarette sono un classico dei look estivi :-) La coordinazione del rosso non e' intenzionale ma mi piace assai :-))

OOTD: Devil's Dyke Walk

You know I don't like to post pictures of myself BUT I do love clothes, fashion and styling. 

So thanks to my (beginners) Photoshop skills I can show you what I wear, not daily but when I feel it is worth it, without the need to be in front of the camera and ruin the pic. :-)

Yesterday me and R. went out for what I thought was just a stroll. 

We went to Devils Dyke ( you can see a pic below), a place on top of the South Downs on the edge of Hove ( near Brighton) and the walk was QUITE a walk but the weather was lovely and the landscape around just beautiful.

I wore a pair of light cotton combat trousers by OVS, a cotton H&M shirt, a V neck jumper by Stefanel and a baseball cap by Celio.

Lo sapete che non mi piace postare foto di me stesso MA amo i vestiti, la moda e lo styling.

Grazie alla mia abilita' (da principiante) con Photoshop ora posso mostrarvi cosa indosso, non tutti giorni ma quando ne vale la pena, senza mettermi di formte alla digitale e rovinare la foto . :-)

Ieri io e R. siamo usciti per quella che pensavo fosse una passeggiatina.

Siamo andati alla Devil's Dyke - la 'gola del diavolo' di cui ho messo una foto sotto-, un posto in cima alle colline sud verso Hove (vicino Brighton e la passeggiatina si e' rivelata una camminata vera e propria ma il tempo era bello ed il paesaggio attorno ancora di piu'.

H indossato un paio di pantaloni combat leggeri di OVS, camicia di cotone H&M, maglione con scollo a V di Stefanel e cappellino di Celio.

OOTD: Urban Safari Heat

 

Erano mesi che non postavo un Outfit del Giorno, o perche' non ce n'era ragione o per mancanza di tempo, come all LFW. Comunque...anche qui a Brighton fa un caldo pazzesco e anche se non volevo uscire oggi, ho dovuto, per andare alla stazione e chiedere info su domani visto che andro' a Londra come assistente stylist e ci sono inghippi con i treni ( bus di rimpiazzo e via dicendo..)

Dovendomi vestire, senza molta voglia, ho optato per un outfit fresco e divertente: esploratore da giungla.

Camicia verde con collo alla coreana e maniche arrotolate, shorts avana sopra il ginocchio con risvolto doppio, cinta maculata, desert boots e Panama Hat.

La cosa assurda? Vestito da capo a piedi H&M!!!

una coincidenza, visto che i vari 'pezzi' li ho acquistati in posti e momenti diversi.

Ah beh!! Qui dicono che da mercoledi' scendiamo sui 15 gradi....sarebbe ora!!

Who run the world (colours)! + OOTD-Red.

This is my entry for a Vogue contest where readers where asked to style an outfit showing a seasonal trend.

I picked up colour block and stripes, of course, and created this school boy look.

Ahahahahahahahha!

Questa è la mia foto per un concorsino di Vogue ai cui i lettori veniva chiesto di creare un outfit che mostrasse un trend della stagione. Io ho scelto il colour block e le righe, ovvio, ed ho creato questo look da scolaretto.

Anyway, on the serious side. With the warmer weather there are being occasions to channel this colour/stripey look, even though I havent worn the coral shoprts already, but that means that I have time to pitch perfect the look and the accessories!

Yes! Just got 3 pair of solid colour and stripey socks! ;-))

Comunque, seri per un attimo. Con il clima che diventa piu' temperato ci sono piu' occasioni per indossare questo look colorato/rigato, anche se ancora non ho messo gli short color corallo, ma significa che ho tempo per rifinire il look e gli accessori!

Si! Ho appena acquistato 3 paia di calzini, tinta unita e a righe! ;-))

But..in the shop ( OVS) there where SO many stripey pairs to chose from! I was inclined to get them all but then, styling mode, and I got what I really needed and fit in with my looks.

Ma...in negozio ( OVS) ce n'erano COSI' tante paia a righe tra cui scegliere! Ero tentato di comprarle tutte ma poi, atteggiamento da stylist, e ho preso cio' di cui avevo bisogno e che andava bene per i miei look.

Un veloce Outfit del Giorno: un tocco di ROSSO!

Styling tip: choose a main focus ( the red tee here) and tight the look together with the same theme on accessories( belt and socks here).

Consiglio di styling: scegli il punto focale del look ( in questo caso la t-shirt rossa) e tieni insieme il look con lo stesso tema anche negli accessori ( la cinta e il calzino).

Spring is definitely colour, that's no news, but it is for me, as it is the first time that I'm dipping into it with an eye for fashion or to exacxt with a more trained eye for colours, shapes, patterns, trends and so on...

La primavera è definitivamente colore, non è una novità, ma lo è per me, poichè è la prima volta che mi ci sto immergendo con l'occio della modao per essere esatti con un occhio piu' allenato a notare colorui, forme, motivi, trend, etc...
