DModa - Private Vintage Party

You can read about this new 'trend' in the article below but to tell the truth the party was a birthday party too!

The theme was the movies and because it was in Brighton most of the looks that were featured were, if not vintage, retro.

A big thank you anyway to my friend Romina Toscano, EIC of the fashion magazine DModa ;-)

Potete leggere di questo nuovo 'trend' nell'articolo sottostante ma a dire la verita' il party era anche una festa di compleanno!

Il tema erano i film e poiche' siamo a Brighton i look che vedete sono, se non vintage, retro sicuramente.

Fashion Styling.Behind the scene. Dietro le quinte.

Hi there.

Havent' been blogging for a while but for a reason.

And that is 'So Vain Magazine', a blog turned on line magazine of my Facebook friend Stepahie Reed.

She asked me to write for the magazine but , as I dont' REALLY like writing, it turned out that I have a weekly column called 'Dan Styling Tips' about the nature of fashion styling.

The column, for the time being, it's planned to last just for few week. Every Friday I'll explain the major aspects of styling, for those in the know and those who would like to know.

E' da un po' che non aggiorno il blog ma per un motivo valido.

Si chiama 'So Vain Magazine', un blog trasformato in magazne online della mia Facebook.amica Stephanie Reed. Mi ha chiesto di scrivere per il magazine ma, poichè non mi piace moto farlo, la collaborazione si è trasformata in una rubrica chiamata 'Dan Stylin Tips' sulla natura del fashion styling.

La rubrica, per ora, durera solo alcune settimane. Ogni venerdi'raccontero' uno degli aspetti importanti dello styling, sia per gli addetti ai lavori che per chi ne vuole sapere qualcosa in piu'.

My first interview! City Discovery: Dario Bentivegna

WOW! That made my day (today).

My first interview,( it was basically a LOVELY chat), by Sonia Rondini, a urban anthropologist, event manager,fashion blogger, publisher and DJ, got published on her blog.

We we've been on each other's Facebook contacts for months, liking each other's post and commenting. Then one day she asked me if I was up to for an interview! Gosh! I was so nervous but excited. So we did it!

Had a drink at the very centre of Rome -Piazza del Popolo, Bar Rosati- and a long then chat it's then been wonderfully tranformed into the following article. So glad to have met Sonia, hope to meet her again in the future and happy to be a part of a bigger project...a book;-)

MAMMA MIA! La giornata è finita in bellezza. La mia prima intervista ( beh, è stata piu' una piacevole chiacchierata), a cura di Sonia Rondini, antropologa urbana, organizzatrice di eventi, fashion blogger, editrice e DJ, sul suo blog.

Eravamo nei reciproci contatti Facebbok da un po' di mesi, cliccando 'I like' e commentando i rispettivi post. Poi un giorno m'ha chiesto se poteva intervistarmi. Oddio! Che emozione e che nervosismo. Cosi' l'abbiamo fatto.

Ci siamo incontrati per un drink al centro del centro di Roma - al Bar Rosati di piazza del Popolo- e una lunga chiacchierata allora , è stat magnificamente trasformata nel seguente articolo. Contento di aver incontrato Sonia, spero di rivederla in futuro e felice di far parte di un progetto piu' grande...un libro.

William and Kate and Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen

After weeks of speculation the Bride (yes, with a capital B) dress has been unveiled -in every sense.

Sarah Burton for McQueen!!!

I'm ever so glad that Catherine, from now on, decided for a McQueen dress. That really says something about the update and chic touch that the new Duchess of Cambridge wants to give to roialty.

Even though at a first glance the dress seems very tame, too simple and sober in reallity, to a closer look, the McQueen craftsmanship, excellence and uniqueness are there.

The dress is made of English lace, French Chantilly lace, and ivory and white satin gazar lace and the handmade flowers appliques are real flowers: rose, daffodil, thistle and shamrock (simbols of the four UK countries: England,Wales, Scotlad and Northern Ireland).

Last but not least the hips were padded to give the Bride a curvier silhouette and also a smaller waist line. Clever, innit?
