Here we are again! Nearly a week to Valentine's day and by now you will have read articles after articles about Valentine's gifts for your beloved and what to wear. My approach to the Valentine's day outfit - a complete look for Her and for Him- is different from the usual take on it. In fact what I suggest you wear are garments that you can wear after your date, a bit dressy but great for any other night out, plus they are NOT too romantic or formal; the key for a lovely Valentine's date is to look effortless, be relaxed and have fun, in every sense ;-)

Eccoci alle solite! Tra poco piu' di una settimana sara S.Valentino e gia' avrete letto articoli su articoli su cosa regalare al vostro/a amato/a e cosa indossare. Il mio approccio all'outfit di S.Valentino - uno compleo sia per Lei che per Lui - e' diverso dalla solita solfa. Infatti cio' che vi consiglio di indossare sono capi che potrete indossare anche dopo il vostro appuntamento, leggermente eleganti ma ottimi per qualsiasi altra serata; inoltre NON sono troppo romantici o formnali; la cosa piu' importante durante il vostro appuntamento e' l'apparire non ingessate/i, essere rilassati e divertirsi, on ogni senso ;-)

Styling Tips! For Him/For Her Part 1

A St.Valentine post I though? Noooooooo was the answer. I personally don't quite feel it as a festivity so it didn't come natural to write a post about it with make up tips, styling tips or a gift guide. Not that I'm against that kind of posts that are around ( I did see a few: Anna Saccone and ClioMakeUp on Youtube) but it isn't in my stride ( and I've been in a relationship for 10 years). Anyway, post-Valentine one can be more useful as you can read it and use the styling tips every day,  it's for him and and her, not just for one half of the couple and it can be used also if you are single.

Here there are some styling tips abouth two basic/classic pieces - shirt/bluse and jeans - that both a stylish man and woman should have ( I feel like writing MUST have but don't want to sound to a fashion fascist) in their wardrobes. So there are quite neutral colours and basic shapes. For the time being no fancy prints, fabrics or silhouettes. There's time for that.

Ho pensato: 'Un post su San Valentino?''Nooooooooooo'è stata la risposta. Personalmente è una festa che non sento e non mi è venuto naturale scriverne con consigli di make up, di styling o su cosa regalare. Non sono contro qiesto tipo di post ce ci sono in giro ( ne ho visti alcuni: Anna Saccone e ClioMakeUp su YouTube) ma non è nelle mie corde ( e sono anche in coppia da 10 anni!).Comunque, un post per il dopo-San Valentino puo' essere piu' utile visto che si puo' essere leggere e i consigli usare ogni dopo, è sia per lui che per lei, non solo per una della metà della coppia e puo' posso essere utili anche per i/le single.

Ecco alcuni consigli di styling su due capi basic/classici  -camicia/camicietta e jeans - che sia un uomo ed una donna di stile dovrebbero avere (mi verrebbe da scivere DEVONO avere, ma non voglio essere troppo fashion/fascista) nell'armadio. Quindi vedrete colori neutri e forme semplici. Per il momento non ci sono colori, tessuti o silhouette partcilorari.

 C'e' tempo.

Per lei: camicetta.

Tiny checks -choose small prints to...elongate!

A quadretti- scegli delle stampe piccole per...allungare la figura!

Go beyond the classic black and white shirt. Try dark and light sheds

Vai oltre la classico camicia bianca o nera. Prova sfumature pi' chiare o scure.

Choose a simple but femminine blouse with details on it - collars, ruffles- and in a soft shade.
A blouse can be easily layered with a cardigan. Ton sur ton or in a draker colour. So chic!

High waisted jeans

I know it souond old fashioned but the high waist defines the waist line and the silhoutte above all if you have large hips and a triangle body shape.

Jeans a vita alta.

Lo so che suona fuori moda ma la vita alta definisce la vita (appunto) e la silhoutte sopratutto se si hanno fianchi larghi e corporatura a triangolo.

Jeans scampanati che allungano la gamba ed indossati con comodi wedge.

These are just two basic garments that I covered but more are to come.

Questi sono solo due capi basic che ho trattato ma altri verranno.
