Trenta7 by Eleonora Moccia SS15. From Polynesia With Love.

Un salto di emisfero, di temperature e di culture per la collezione SS15 del marchio Trenta7 di Eleonora Moccia; dall'Inghilterra degli anni '50 nella stagione FW14/15 ai climi tropicali degli atolli della Polinesia per la prossima estate. Anche se ancora l'autunno/inverno fatica ad arrivare e a malapena indossiamo cappotti e stivali, il ciclo della moda non si ferma e le collezioni ss15 sono gia' in produzione.

Ispirazione tribale e naturale per Trenta7, dai colori ai materiali; iuta e rafia ma anche nappa e vitello - il mix ibrido tipico del marchio - nei colori profondi del mare - turchese e verde acqua - e nei toni piu' saturi del giallo limone, corallo e arancio. A puntaggiare la collezioni di slingback e sandali dal tacco quadrato, coloratissime nappine in rafia che, non solo evocano l'ispirazione polinesiana della collezione, ma danno un ulteriore tocco di colore e di leggerezza al tutto.

A leap of hemisphere, temperature and cultures for the SS15 collection of the brand Trenta7 by Eleonora Moccia; from '50 England  of the FW14/15 season to the tropical climate of Polynesia's atolls for the next season. Even if autumn/winter are really not here yet and we are hardly wearing coats and boots, the cycle of fashion doesn't stop and the SS15 collection are already in production.

Tribal and natural inspiration for Trenta7, from colours to materials; iuta and raffia but also nappaand calf - the mix is typical of the brand - in the deep colours of the sea - turquoise and emerald green - and in the saturated tones of lemon yellow, orange and coral. Punctuating the collection of slingbacks and square-heeled sandals are the multicoloured raffia tassels that, not only conjured up the Polynesian inspiration, but also give yet another touch of colour and lightheartedness to the collection

The Wheel Of Fashion: Choose Sandals, #SayNoToFlipFlops.

The sun is out and so are the maleficent flip flops on both men's and women's feet! If you're not at the beach or at the swimming pool flop flops are a HUGE no no as they are lazy-wear. I do not like in fact the shabby look of the thin sole, cheap, plastic flip flop on both sexes feet and luckily I'm not the only impressionable soul that thinks that: there are few of my colleagues at work that share my view and in the past few days I read two blogs that tackle this very same issue ( here and here).

There are PLENTY of options of sandals for ladies out there and some for men too, even if I have to say that the choice for us is limited to gladiator-woven-Francescan monk-like shoes; but those are better than a lousy pair of flip flops! Choose Sandals, Say No to Flip Flops!

Il sole e' finalmente uscito e' cosi anche le malefiche infradito sui piedi di uomini e donne! Se non siamo al mare o in piscina, le infradito sono un ENORME no no visto che sono abbigliamento da pigri. Infatti non sopporto l'aspetto trasandato che le infradito dalla sottile suola di plastica da quattro soldi danno a tutti e dui i sessi e fortunatamente sono sono l'unica anima impressionabile che pensa cio': ci sono anche alcuni miei colleghi di lavoro e negli ultimi gironi ho letto due blog che trattano di questo problema ( qui e qui).

Ci sono DECINE di modelli si sandali da donna ed alcuni anche per uomini, anche se devo ammettere che la scelta per noi uomini e' limitata a calzture da gladiatore-monaco Francescano-hippie; sempre meglio comunque di un paio di infradito da 'scappato di casa'! Scegli dei Sandali, Di' No alle Infradito!

Trenta7 by Eleonora Moccia FW14-15 Shoe Collection - Men&Women.

Eccoci a completare il trio, Quattromani/Mancinelli Bonafaccia/Trenta7 che lo scorso gennaio ha unito le forze ad AltaRoma per la collezione FW14-15 del duo di designers, creando dei total look dalla testa ai piedi. Vista la sfilata ed il lookbook Quattromani, vista la collezione FW14-15 di gioielli Mancinelli Bonafaccia, ora vediamo nel dettaglio la collezione donna Trenta7 che ha calcato la passerella di Roma, con una new entry: la linea uomo (Yes!).

Atmosfere londinesi anni '50 caratterizzano, per lei, le ankle pumps, i mocassini bicolor e i boots con tacco in dettaglio di pelle laminata in argento e lana boucle'. Colori e materiali contemporanei - pelli cerate effetto tartan, vitello stampato e suede - ed palette dal rosa al blue elettrico passando per il lime, mosto , perla ruggine, nero e bianco, danno vita a tutta la collezione. Immancabile la chiusra a cartella in ottone spazzolato e canna di fucile.

Finally we are completing the trio of designers, Quattromani/Mancinelli Bonafaccia/Trenta7 who last January joined forces at AltaRoma for the FW14-15 collection of the designers' duo, cretaing total look, from head to toe. We've seen Quattromani fashion show and lookbook, the FW 14-15 jewellery collection by Mancinelli Bonafaccia, now let's discover in detail the women collection Trenta7 that stutted down the Rome catwalk, and a new entry: the men's line (YES!)

Atmosphere of London in the '50 influences, for her, ankle pumps, two-tone loafers and boots with heels details in silver metallic leather and wool boucle'. Modern and contemporary colours and materials - waxed leather, printed calf leather and suede -  and a colour palette that ranges from pink to electric blue, going through lime, must, rust, black and white, characterise the collection. The briefcase-clasp can't be missed in brushed brass and gunmetal.

 

Modernita' e tradizione, la Londra anni '50, caratterizzano anche la linea uomo; elegante ma giovanile, sofisticata ma portabile. Mocassini bicolor o in tinta unita con anppine in rilievo sono i due modelli Trenta7 per lui, negli stessi materiali pregiati della linea donna, con chiusura a cartella ed una palette di cololri classica  che comprende anche il verde militare. Ad agosto che saro' a Roma le voglio ASSOLUTAMENTE provare.

Modernity and tradition, London in the '50, define the men's line too; smart but youthful, sofisticated but wearable. Two-tone loafers or monochrome with little tassels printed in relief are the two options available for him, in the same quality material of the women's line, with the briefcase-clasp and a classic colour palette that includes army green. In August, when I'll be in Rome, I'm going DEFINITELY, to try them on.

Limen SS14 by Trenta7

Gioca nuovamente di contrasti la collezione Limen SS 14 Trenta 7 di Eleonora Moccia, attualmente impegnata al SUPER di Milano con la presentazione FW 14-15 - questi sono i tempi schizofrenici della moda, come sappiam- con una collezione che ha gia' debuttato sulle passerelle di AltaRoma con il brand Quattromani, circa un mese fa, presentando le ankle pumps Vicky

The Trenta7 SS14 collection Limen by Eleonora Moccia plays again with contrast. The brand is busy at the moment at the fashion trade fair SUPER in Milan, showcasing its FW14-15 collection - these are the schizophrenic rhytms of the fashion system, as you know- that it had been previewed on the Quattromani fashion show at AltaRoma  nearly a month ago, with the ankle pump Vicky

Ma andiamo con ordine e parliamo di Limen. Limite, soglia, confine indefinito; questo e' il significato, dal latino, del nome della collezione, ed e' anche il concetto attorno al quale si sviluppa il design delle calzature Tranta7 per la prossima stagione. Nuovamente un concetto che si rifa' al contrasto, al gioco di alternze e complementarita' gia' esplorato nelle scorse stagioni con Anima/Animus (FW13) e Reversal (SS13).

Let's proceed in order though and let's find out what the collection Limen is about. Limit, treshold, indefinite border; this is the meaning, for the Latin, of the collection's name, and it's also the concept around which the shoes' design has been developed by Trenta7 for next season. We have yet again a concept that goes back to the idea of contrast, a game of alternations and complementarity, that the brand has already explored in the past collections Anima/Animus (FW13) and Reverasl (SS13)

Questa volta il contrasto e' concentrato tutto sul piede, in un alternarsi di pieni e di vuoti, di trasparenze e coperture, di leggerezza e severita' ed infine, nuovamente di maschile e femminile. Non mancan la firma Tranta7 neanche in questa entusiasmante collezione, la chiusua a cartella e come novita' l'uso di PVC trasparente o full colour.

This time the contrast is all focused on the foot, with the alteration of empty and full parts, trasparency and coverage, lightness and severity, and last but not least, again, masculinity and femininity. Trenta 7 signature feature is there too, its iconic briefcase clasp and as a new one the use of PVC both in its trasparency or in full colour.

Out Of Step, Avant-Garde Footwear. LFW AW'14

Nella mia convulsa giornata di sabato 15 gennaio alla LFW edione AW14, correndo tra presentazioni e una visita velocissima ai Designers Showoom a Somerset House, mi sono imbattuto, nel corridoio della South Wing, nella mini-mostra 'Out of Step' a cura della RCA, il Royal College of Art, che mette in mostra alcune delle calzature di avanguardia create dai suoi studenti a partire dal 2002. Una gemma, un'oasi di pura creativita' nel mare magnum degli stand della LFW.

Un altro esempio in cui arte e moda si mescolano, legato ad una ricerca approfondita ed un giocare con il labilisismo confine che c'e' tra forma e funzione. Calzature concettuali quindi che vanno dall'uso di materiali inusuali a forme scultoree fino ad arrivare al limite della forma astratta che una scarpa puo' avere.

In my convulsive day of Saturday the 25th of January at the LFW AW'14 edition, running between presentations and a very quick visit to the Designers Showrooms in Somerset House, I stumbled upon, in the South Wing corridor, in the mini-exhibtion 'Out Of Step' curated by the RCA, the Royal College of Art, that was showing some of the avant-garde footwear creations made by its students from 2002. A gem, an oasis of pure creativity in the mare magnum of the LFW stands.

Another example in which art and fashion mix together, linked to a through research and a play on the changeable line between form and function. Conceptual footwear then, that ranges from the use of unusual materials and sculptural shapes to the extreme abstraction.
