Style (gurus) on Youtube! OOTD? What do you think?

I know, the word guru is an  exaggeration, but in few lines you'll find out what it refers to, and OOTD as well. 

Facts first. As well as reading (yes, I actually read, not just skim though them) fashion blogs, I started following a Vlog ( Video-blog) a couple of weeks ago, by chance and later out of curiosity.

Its autor is Anna Saccone, an Irish girl in her early twenties, who gives tips on style, styling (OOTD stands for Outfit Of The Day) and make up. She's got around 41,000 subscribers on her channel (TheStyleDiet) and she does posts almost daily.
But I found out that she's only the top of the iceberg. In fact on the site Guru Gossip http://gurugossip.omgforum.net/ there are tens of Youtube style and mak-up characters and on the site forum you can ''Trash, hash or rave about YouTube gurus and personalities''.

I'm still forming an opinion (I have!-read the update at the end of the post) on Anna and the Youtube guru phenomenon in general and I would like to hear your impressions and views about it. To do that I'm posting the link to her Youtube channel and blog, as well as a sample video of style and make up.

Lo so, la parola guru è un'esagerazione, ma tra qualche riga scoprirete a che si riferisce e anche OOTD.

Prima i fatti. Oltre che leggere ( si, leggo e non do' solo un'occhiata superficiale) i vari blog di moda, ho cominciato a seguire un Vlog ( Video blog) un paio di settimane fa, per caso e poi per curiosità.

La sua creatice si è Anna Saccone, una ventenne ragazza irlandese, che dà consigli di stile, styling ( OOTD=Outfit Of The Day/ Outfit del giorno) e di trucco. Ha circa 41.000 iscritti sul suo canale Youtube (TheStyleDiet) e posta video quasi tutti i giorni.

Ma ho scoperto che lei è solo la punta dell'iceberg. Infatti sul sito Guru Gossip http://gurugossip.omgforum.net/  ci sono decine di personaggi di Youtube che hanno video di stile e trucco e sul sito si puo' ''dire stupidaggini, parlare male o andare in estasi per i guru e le personalità di Youtube''.

Non ho ancora un'opinione precisa ( ora ce l'ho! leggete la'ggiornamento alla fine del post) su Anna ed il fenomeno guru di Youtube e mi piacerebbe sapere le vostre impressioni ed opinioni. Ho postato quindi anche i link del canale Youtube di Anna, del suo blog e due video, come esempio di OOTD e trucco.

POST update 23/01/2011:

I've written the post nearly 2 weeks ago and in the meantime, stull following her Youtube videos, I did form an opinion about Anna ;-) It was her in person ( well, through Twitter) that asked me about it!! In fact we now are following each other's twits, she read the artcicle and joking, asked me if I was still forming an opinion or if I loved her vlog and blog as I twittered ;-)  Well...I do!

Ho scritto questo post quasi due settimane fa e nel frattempo, continuando a seguire i suoi video su Youtube,  mi sono fatto un'opinione su Anna ;-) E' stata proprio lei in persona ( beh, tramite Twitter) che me l'ha chiesto!! Infatti ora seguiamo i nostri twit a vicenda, ha letto il mio post e scherzosamente mi ha chiesto se ancora mi stavo formando un'opinione o se mi piaceva il suo vlog e blog come le avevo twittato ;-) Beh...mi piace!
