Guccimon. Catch 'em all,.

Appena passato il week-end ed il mio proposito di 'rinfrescarsi gli occhi' prima di settembre e' miseramente fallito. venerdi' sera infatti, dopo la proiezione di un film sull'omosessualita' in Kenia, durante il Gay Pride qui a Brighton, ho visitato la mostra sulla moda africana al Brighton and Hove Museum. Interessante ma...appena uscito ho realizzato che, predico bene ma razzolo male e che e' molto difficile sottrarsi alla tirannia delle immagini di moda e dalla moda in generale. N.d.R. Inoltre lavorando per una catena di abbigliamento, mi e' praticamente impossibile! P.s. Ho pure comprato il numero di settembre di Vogue UK.

Tornando a noi, alla stagione alle porte, avendovi in passato esortato a Guccificarvi e ad apprezzare capi ed accessori delle braocche e sovraccariche sfilate Gucci, e cavalcando la mania dei Pokemon, che personalmente adoro ( ricordi di gioventu' e amore per tutto cio' che e' kawai e pieno di aegyo), negli ultimi due giorni ho notato che lo stile Gucci, a cascata, e' arrivato sugli stand delle catene fast fashion e online. Per i fan di Gucci, ma senza la disponibilita' di portafoglio, come cacciatori di Pokemon, eccovi una prima lista,  dei capi e dei marchi dove acchiappare il meglio dei Guccimon che terremo aggoirnata a mano a mano che le nuove collezioni saranno disponibili.

LFW AW16 Presentations.Part 1. Edeline Lee, Goergia Hardinge, Gabriel Vielma.

I'm (not) sorry I keep going on about the latest wave of presentations at the LFW AW16 but this medium got so sophisticated by now that it's impossible to ignore and worth being covered properly as nearly 40% of the designer on schedule hosted a presentation.

Edeline Lee focused her creative energy on simplicity and integrity, presenting a pared down collection, going back to the basics in her silhouette, colour palette and use of fabric. The presentation was held at the ONlOFF Vinyl Factory where the looks and the models were placed a playful, simple but eye catching installation of black and white floor, mirrors and coloured piles of shredded paper. 

Virgin Wool crepe and boucle are used for utilitarian boiler suits, tops, trousers and dresses and for stunning, cosy outerwear. The only concession to print is a delicate floral pattern that occasionally become 3D flowers.

I've quickly covered the topic of the 'see it, buy it now' talking about the consolidating presentation trend at the latest LFW , and I feel that, amid lots of announcements by several fashion brand, at the moment, both labels and consumers are quite confused. What to make of those Insta-Fashion items that are available to buy as soon as they get shot on the catwalk? Who is doing what at the moment and what is going to happen? Few different models are emerging and here you have a handy breakdown of them all.

Ho accennato al tema del 'vedilo, compralo ora' analizzando il trend in consolidamento alla LFW delle presentazioni , e ho  la netta impressione che nella marea di annunci delle svariate case di moda, al momento, sia i marchi che i consumatori siano abbatsanza confusi. Che pensare di quei capi ed accessori Insta-Fashion in vendita subito dopo essere stati fotografati in passerella? Chi sta facendo cosa e come si evolvera' il tutto? Diversi modi di procedere sono emersi e qui di seguito un pratico elenco dei piu' rilevanti.

Three Floor presentation

I had a pretty busy day at LFW yesterday and the odd surprise was that it was a day full of presentations. I attended 4 of them and I could have done 2 more but I had to be back in Brighton for a wedding reception. Sadly I also missed the House of Holland show for which I had a ticket for the first time ever! Got home really pleased with the day and attending presentations ended up being much more enjoyable, fun, less tiring and stress free than the shows.

I did some research and this season, out of the 84 designers on the schedule, 32 are hosting presentations; that's nearly 40% - 38 to be precise. Even WGSN - the forecasting company - picked on that calling presentations 'the new runway'.

Ieri ho avuto una giornata piena alla LFW e la strana sorpresa e' stato un giorno pieno di presentazioni. Ne ho viste 4 e avrei potuto andre ad altre 2 ma sono divuto tornare a Brighton per un matrimonio la sera. Inoltre ho anche saltato la sfilata di House of Holland per la quale avevo ricevuto il primo invito di sempre! Sono comunque tornato a casa soddisfatto e andare solo alle presentazioni e stato piu' piacevole e divertente, meno stancante e stressante delle sfilate.

Ho fatto un po' di ricerca e questa stagione, su 84 designer in programma, 32 fanno una presentazione: quasi il 40% - 38 per la precisione. Persino  WGSN - l'agenzia di forecasting - se n'e' accorta chiamando le presentazione 'la nuova sfilata'

Even if I could be part of the lcm aw16 circuit for a day, due to my work schedule, I did followed it with attention. As well enjoying the great atmosphere and the the new two locations - Victoria House and 180 Strand - I could also see for myself, at the energy packed KTZ show, how the London menswear scene is full of buzz, ideas and commercially strong. I've rounded up the 10 best looks from the London offerings with a new awareness that the future of menswear is in the 'smasual'-sporty look, the gender fluidity and faabric research. In fact the KTZ show was an eye opener for me, as each look and piece was not only luxuriously crafted but also clear indicator of what the menswear trends will be in the near future.

Anche se ho potuto far parte del circuito della lcm aw16 solo oer un giorno, a causa dei miei impegni di lavoro, l'ho comunque seguita con attenzione. Oltre ad apprezzare la bella atmosfera e le fantastiche due location - Victoria House e il 180 Strand -, ho visto da me, alla super energetica sfilata di KTZ, come l'ambiente menswear londinese sia carico di adrenalina, idee e commercialmente di impatto. Ho messo assieme i 10 migliori look in mostra a Londra la nuova cosapevolezza che il futuro del memswear e' nel look 'smasual'- sporty, nella fluidita' di genere e nell'innovazione dei tessuti. Infatti la sfilata KTZ mi ha fatto aprire gli occhi, visto che ogni look e ogni capo, non solo erano rifiniti con standard di lusso, ma anche un chiaro indicatore dei trend che verrano nel futuro prossimo.
